PANews reported on May 3 that TRON DAO posted on the X platform that its X account was hacked at 9:25 am Pacific Standard Time on May 2, 2025. During this period, an unauthorized party posted a post containing a contract address (CA), sent a private message (DM), and followed some unknown accounts. TRON DAO stated that it would never publish a contract address or send unsolicited private messages. If users received a private message from the X account on May 2, please delete it and regard it as an attacker.

TRON DAO added that a member of its team was the target of a malicious social engineering attack that resulted in the compromise of their account, and even after the perpetrator was logged out and access was restored, they continued to contact others and post from our main account in exchange for compensation. We are actively investigating this incident and have contacted law enforcement to take swift action against those responsible.
