PANews reported on December 25 that according to Crowdfund Insider, the crypto payment platform MoonPay announced that it had obtained a money transmission license issued by the Texas Department of Banking. From now on, Texas users can purchase 64 cryptocurrencies through Venmo and PayPal. According to statistics, more than one-fifth of the voting-age population in Texas holds cryptocurrencies.

MoonPay plans to expand its service scope in 2025 to allow Texas residents to sell cryptocurrencies including BTC, ETH and SOL. Currently, MoonPay has obtained money transmission licenses in 45 states in the United States.
