PANews reported on February 21 that SlowMist posted on the X platform that its security team received reports from victims, revealing that someone pretended to be a SlowMist data scientist and acted as a Web3 recruiter to commit fraud, tricking victims into installing malware, resulting in the theft of victims' wallets and X accounts. The SlowMist team has launched an investigation and disclosed some known details. At present, the law enforcement department of Baden-Württemberg, Germany has intervened and recommended that the fraudsters immediately return the victims' funds.
