PANews reported on May 27 that according to The Block, Lagrange Labs, a zero-knowledge proof development company, announced the establishment of an independent foundation and plans to launch the ecological token LA. The total amount of the token is 1 billion, of which 10% will be distributed through airdrops, and the registration period is from May 28 to June 2. The airdrop is mainly for users who have participated in the Turing test game "Turing Roulette", and participants are required to complete uniqueness and human verification.
LA tokens will be used to pay for zero-knowledge proof generation and staking, using an economic model of "proof demand = token demand". When users pay for proofs with ETH, USDC or LA, part of the fee will be allocated to the proof nodes as rewards. The network sets an annual inflation rate of 4% to subsidize proof costs. Tokens of early contributors and investors will be locked for 1 year after generation and released linearly over 2 years.
The Prover network developed by Lagrange Labs is built on EigenLayer and has raised a total of US$17 million, including a US$13.2 million seed round led by Founder Fund in May 2024.
