PANews reported on July 3 that according to Ember’s monitoring, an Ethereum whale who had held it for 8 years transferred 4,123 ETH (about 10.51 million US dollars) to the Gemini exchange 9 hours ago when the ETH price was close to 2,600 US dollars. This is the largest transfer to this address since 2024.
This address hoarded 21,662 ETH through Gemini and Kraken in 2017 at an average price of about $569. From 2024, this address began to transfer ETH to Gemini, but before that, it was mostly small transfers of dozens to hundreds of ETH. So far, the whale has transferred a total of 6,361 ETH (about $16.03 million) at an average price of about $2,520, which fully covered its initial cost of $12.33 million.
Currently, the address still holds 13,538 ETH (about 34.94 million US dollars), and all of these assets have been converted into profits.
