PANews reported on December 17 that according to Monad's official announcement, the Monad Foundation has been officially established to promote the further decentralization and development of the Monad protocol and ecosystem. The Monad Foundation will focus on supporting validator governance, community improvement proposals, developer documentation, and ecosystem promotion and consulting services. Some team members of Monad Labs, including business development, community, marketing, and developer relations departments, have been transferred to the Monad Foundation.

In addition, Monad Labs will be renamed Category Labs, focusing on the development and research of Monad blockchain technology, with James Hunsaker as CEO. Monad Foundation and Category Labs will be dedicated to ecosystem management and technical performance development respectively, laying the foundation for the future development of decentralized technology.
