PANews reported on May 1 that Visa has partnered with crypto card company Baanx to launch USDC stablecoin payment cards tied to self-hosted wallets in the U.S. These Visa cards allow cardholders to spend USDC directly from their crypto wallets, using smart contracts to transfer stablecoin balances to Baanx in real time and convert them into fiat currency for payment.

In addition, Baanx has also partnered with Mastercard to develop a payment card tied to the MetaMask wallet.
