The zkLend attacker attempted to launder $9.5 million through Railgun and was forced to return the funds due to policy restrictions

PANews reported on February 12 that according to Cyvers Alerts, zkLend suffered a $9.5 million attack on the Starknet network. The stolen funds were transferred to the Ethereum network through a bridge and laundered through Railgun. However, due to the Railgun protocol policy, the funds have been returned to the original address.

In addition, zkLend has sent an on-chain message to the attacker, offering a 10% white hat bounty and demanding the return of 3,300 ETH (about $8.6 million).

According to previous news, zkLend issued an ultimatum to hackers: returning 90% of the stolen funds will exempt them from legal liability .
