PANews reported on February 26th that, according to BlockSec, a Plutus protocol liquidity pool on Ethereum (0xD060…945D2) suffered an attack due to an oracle misconfiguration, resulting in a loss of approximately $390,000. The pool incorrectly pegged the USDC price to Chainlink's BTC/USD price feed, causing a significant price deviation. The attacker exploited this error, borrowing 187 ETH with only 8 USDC as collateral. Block data shows that the attacking transaction occurred in the block following the confirmation of the configuration change, indicating that the attacker closely followed and exploited the configuration update.
A misconfiguration of the Ploutus protocol oracle resulted in a loss of approximately $390,000 for the pool.
