Binance plans to obtain five more regulatory licenses in Asia this year.

PANews reported on March 4th that, according to Nikkei Asia, Binance's Head of Asia Pacific, SB Seker, stated in an interview that Binance plans to obtain five more regulatory licenses in Asia this year, bringing the total number of licensed jurisdictions globally to over 20. Currently, Binance holds regulatory authorizations in Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand, and Thailand in the Asia Pacific region, and will soon be added to the licensed list in South Korea due to its acquisition of the exchange Gopax. Seker did not disclose the specific target markets for the new licenses, only stating that some markets are nearing completion of the final stages.
