ECB President Reportedly Pressures Greece to Block Binance’s MiCA License Application

PANews, June 18 – The Block reporter Gareth Jenkinson posted on X that a reliable source revealed European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde directly ordered Greece to reject Binance’s MiCA license application. According to the report, Binance had already largely secured approval from Greek regulators, but the process was blocked after the ECB intervened. Jenkinson stated that if the ECB ultimately controls such decisions, it would not be good news for the crypto industry.

In addition, according to Cryptopolitan, Binance is now turning to France as the only remaining pathway to obtain MiCA authorization, but has not yet formally submitted an application.
