Billionaire Stanley Druckenmiller: Stablecoins may become the future global payment infrastructure

PANews reported on March 14th, citing CoinDesk, that billionaire investor Stanley Druckenmiller stated he "assumes the entire payment system will adopt stablecoins within the next 10 to 15 years," claiming that fiat-pegged stablecoins like USDT and USDC are more efficient, faster, and cheaper in payments, making them an "extremely useful" productive application of blockchain. He reiterated his skepticism towards most crypto assets, believing they are still "solutions created to solve non-existent problems." He also believes Bitcoin has essentially established itself as a store of value and questions whether the US dollar can continue as the global reserve currency for the next 50 years, suggesting its position may eventually be replaced by some crypto asset.
