In a recent Lex Fridman podcast, Jensen Huang commented on Elon Musk, believing that Musk possesses three core competencies:
1⃣️ Questioning everything: Musk likes to ask three deadly questions whenever he encounters anything:
Is it necessary?
▫️Is it really necessary to do this?
Does it really have to take this long?
2⃣️ Minimalism, but not just about products. Many people understand minimalism as "making things simple." But Musk's minimalism is systemic, streamlining everything from manufacturing processes, supply chains, and management to the extreme.
In Huang's words, "You can no longer delete anything, but all the necessary functions are still there."
3⃣️ Personally participate and get everyone involved.
Suppliers have a ton of projects, so why is your project the top priority? Because Musk will personally be on-site to address the issues and push things forward.
Huang Renxun commented that when the boss himself acts with a great sense of urgency, others will unconsciously follow suit.
