Police in Urumqi High-tech Zone, Xinjiang, cracked down on illegal mining machinery repair dens.

PANews reported on March 30 that the Urumqi High-tech Zone Public Security Bureau in Xinjiang announced that on the afternoon of March 25, 2026, officers from the Ergong Township Police Station of the Urumqi High-tech Zone (Xinshi District) Branch of the Public Security Bureau successfully cracked down on an illegal electronic mining machine repair den during a patrol of key areas within their jurisdiction. In response to the illegal activities at the den, officers from the Economic Crime Investigation Team and the Ergong Township Police Station conducted an on-site inventory of 310 mining machines awaiting repair, promptly photographed and documented illegal equipment and safety hazards, seized the relevant mining machines, and ordered the perpetrators to immediately cease their illegal activities. The case has been transferred to relevant departments for further investigation and processing.
