PANews reported on April 16 that, according to Bloomberg, Wall Street bank Cantor Fitzgerald has donated $10 million to the Tether-led super political action committee, Fellowship PAC. The Fellowship PAC is chaired by Jesse Spiro, Tether's head of government affairs. Digital asset bank Anchorage Digital also donated $1 million to the PAC.
Last September, the PAC claimed to have secured over $100 million in funding commitments to support U.S. political candidates who advocate for cryptocurrency. FEC filings show that the PAC has spent $3 million on advocacy advertising and $1.5 million supporting three Republican candidates, including Kentucky Senate candidate Nate Morris and Georgia Representative Clay Fuller.
