Florida and Massachusetts recover $5.4 million in crypto scam funds

PANews reported on April 16 that, according to Cryptopolitan, authorities in Florida and Massachusetts have successfully recovered $5.4 million in funds related to a cryptocurrency scam. The Florida Attorney General's Office stated that the operation involved a "pig butchering" scam with victims spread across six Florida counties, including one victim in Marion County who lost over $450,000. The recovery operation was a collaboration between the Florida Cyber ​​Fraud Enforcement Agency and the Marion County Sheriff's Office. $700,000 was returned to victims in Florida, $1.3 million to victims in Massachusetts, and the remaining funds will be used to continue combating cryptocurrency fraud.
