PANews reported on April 16 that, according to an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) official, the IDF is prepared to reach a ceasefire agreement with Lebanon. The official stated that senior IDF commanders have been instructed to prepare troops currently deployed in southern Lebanon for a ceasefire. They have been informed that the ceasefire will begin between 7 PM and midnight local time on April 16.
The Israeli military says it is ready for a ceasefire with Lebanon.
