Multiple whale addresses panic-sold AAVE, causing AAVE to drop 15%.

PANews reported on April 19th that, according to on-chain analyst Ember, after hackers borrowed a large amount of ETH by staking illegally minted rsETH on Aave, multiple whales sold off AAVE on-chain, causing AAVE to drop by 15%. Among them:

  • A Polymarket user named "smaugvision" is selling 20,015 AAVE tokens (worth $2.06 million) for $102.90 each.
  • The address 0xFC5 is selling 20,000 AAVE tokens (US$2.05 million) for US$102.80 each.
  • The 0xA2E address is selling 19,665 AAVE tokens (US$1.95 million) for US$99.20.
