PANews reported on April 23 that the Aurise Foundation announced the launch of its interest-bearing gold token, XAUE, on Ethereum, intended to serve as an interest-bearing treasury for Tether Gold (XAU₮). XAUE targets compliant institutional participants, introducing crypto-native yields to traditional non-interest-bearing gold through quantitative strategies and institutional lending, transforming it into a programmable and capital-efficient on-chain asset.
Currently, ecosystem partners Aurelion and Antalpha have jointly invested 16,052 XAU₮ (approximately $76 million) into XAUE. The protocol employs a currency growth model, where the value of gold pegged to each XAUE increases with accumulated earnings, and it will be integrated with more decentralized finance protocols such as DEXs in the future.
