PANews reported on April 24 that, according to Iran International Television, Ayman Shamsaye, head of the Iranian Parliament's Center for Communications, Media and Cultural Affairs, responded to rumors of Ghalibaf's resignation by stating that Ghalibaf has not resigned and is still diligently fulfilling his duties. He added that the rumors were spread for the purpose of misleading public opinion.
