PANews reported on April 29th, citing Bloomberg, that JPMorgan Chase has appointed former Goldman Sachs executive Oliver Harris to lead its blockchain division, Kinexys. Harris will focus on commercializing Kinexys applications and strengthening partnerships with institutional clients. He previously served as CEO of Arda Global, Managing Director of Goldman Sachs' Americas Digital Assets division, and spent six years at JPMorgan Chase, leading the development of the Quorum blockchain platform. The Kinexys blockchain payment network launched in 2019 and processed $5 billion in transactions daily as of last December. Last November, JPMorgan Chase began offering its deposit token, JPM Coin, to institutional clients, enabling fund transfers via the Base blockchain.
