On April 22 , 2026 , at the Ethereum Applications Gathering held on the main stage of the Web3 Carnival in Hong Kong, the Ethereum Applications Guild ( EAG ) was officially launched.
As the Ethereum ecosystem infrastructure matures, industry attention is rapidly shifting towards the application layer. The Ethereum Applications Alliance ( EAG ), a global non-profit collaborative organization, is dedicated to promoting the innovation, adoption, and real-world impact of Ethereum-native applications.
EAG Operating Model
By collaborating with stakeholders across the ecosystem, EAG is building a global network focused on open-source tools, shared infrastructure, and the long-term sustainability of Ethereum application layers.
EAG operates as an ecosystem-driven organization, independent of any single entity. Adhering to the core values of openness and distribution , EAG 's work focuses on:
1. Accelerate the development of real-world applications;
2. Connecting interdisciplinary networks of builders;
3. Supports a shared evaluation and development framework;
4. Establish a sustainable funding mechanism.
Within this framework, EAG has built an execution system centered on entrepreneur-driven acceleration programs, shared assessment infrastructure , and global builder education. Furthermore, it ensures that impactful work receives the exposure and support it deserves through regional showcase events, collaboration with major ecosystem events, and structured communication support for builders.
Establish a sustainable funding mechanism
To support the long-term development of the Ethereum application ecosystem, EAG has established a sustainable funding mechanism through the following two main approaches:
1. Membership Contributions : Non-listed companies pay annual membership fees in tiers based on valuation, market capitalization, or assets under management ( AUM ). Listed companies, on the other hand, are required to pay a fixed annual membership fee.
2. Staking Profit Contribution : ETH holders can choose to donate a portion of their staking profits to the EAG Contribution Pool to support the development of the Ethereum application ecosystem. The EAG Contribution Pool is a collaboration between EAG and HashKey Cloud , the infrastructure platform of HashKey Group , and will be launched soon.
Launch the 2026 Global Applicant and Builder Program
As part of its overall strategy, EAG also launched the “ 2026 Global Apps and Builders Program ” , which aims to provide a structured support framework for developers in emerging and underrepresented regions.
From May to September 2026 , the Applications and Builders Program will be carried out in countries and regions such as Latin America, Africa, Oceania and India. Through developer education, hackathons and selection competitions, as well as academic and research conferences, it will strengthen local developer communities and promote the development of developers and applications in various regions.
Outstanding teams and individuals from various regions will be invited to participate in the 2026 Mountain & Sea Dock Residency Program in Hong Kong and Mumbai in October for further development and collaboration, and to interact with the global Ethereum ecosystem community during the Devcon developer conference.
