PANews reported on April 30th that, according to the Korea Economic Daily, South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb announced it will introduce quantum-resistant cryptography technology to prevent the risk of future quantum computers breaking existing encryption systems. Bithumb plans to apply PQC technology across its entire ecosystem, from virtual asset wallet management to identity authentication systems, with a focus on protecting customer private keys. It will also collaborate with security technology company ATON to encrypt all stages of data processing, including input, authentication, transmission, and storage. Simultaneously, Bithumb will strengthen its real-time monitoring system to detect new types of hacking attacks and unusual transaction patterns utilizing quantum computers.
