PANews reported on April 30 that Gate US announced the opening of the application channel for Gate Card, providing users in compliant regions with a stablecoin-based payment solution.
Gate Card is issued by Lead Bank (a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, FDIC) under license from Visa. Once officially launched, users can use USDC for everyday purchases through the Gate US App, with payments automatically converted to US dollars (USD). It can be used at Visa-compliant merchants worldwide, expanding the application boundaries of digital assets in real-world consumption scenarios.
At the product level, Gate Card will offer both virtual and physical cards to cover online and offline payment needs. The virtual card supports Apple Pay and Google Pay, while the physical card supports card swiping, contactless NFC payments, and ATM withdrawals. Users will also earn points for eligible spending, which can be redeemed for USDT within the app, further enhancing asset utilization efficiency and user incentives.
