The third round of peace talks between Israel and Lebanon could be held as early as next week in Washington.

PANews reported on May 7th that, according to a report by Lebanese International Broadcasting Corporation (LBCI), cited by Jinshi, the third round of peace talks between Israel and Lebanon could be held as early as next week. The talks are reportedly scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, or Thursday and Friday, next week in Washington, D.C. The Lebanese delegation will include former Ambassador to Washington Simon Karam, current Ambassador to Washington Nada Hamad Moawad, Deputy Head of Mission and Consul Wissam Boutros, and representatives of the Lebanese army. LBCI reported that, in preparation for the talks, the current ambassador to Washington met with members of Secretary of State Rubio's team on Monday and Tuesday. The two sides discussed the upcoming Israel-Lebanon summit, and the ambassador provided U.S. officials with a list of alleged Israeli violations of existing agreements and emphasized the importance of a ceasefire.
