Bank of Canada: Stablecoin regulations may be introduced in mid-to-late 2027

PANews reported on May 9th that, according to Reuters, Carolyn Rogers, Senior Deputy Governor of the Bank of Canada, stated during her testimony to the Senate that the design of Canadian stablecoin regulations is fully underway and is expected to be launched in mid-to-late 2027. She noted that the previously planned launch target of early 2027 was rather aggressive.
