PANews reported on May 9th, citing CoinDesk , that executives from Trust Wallet and Mesh stated at Consensus Miami that AI agents are driving architectural changes in crypto wallets, providing autonomous software with the capabilities of holding tokens, trading, and on-chain identity. Mesh launched its Smart Funding product, which automatically routes payments across different chains, networks, accounts, and tokens, serving both human users and AI agents. Trust Wallet introduced an " AI co-pilot" in its user-facing wallets, where users retain their private keys and gradually authorize access; on the developer side, it released Agent Kit , allowing agents to autonomously execute transactions, transfers, and other operations, and implementing EIP-8004 to establish on-chain identity and credit scoring for the agents. Both companies anticipate large AI labs launching their own wallets, while Mesh maintains a neutral strategy at the wallet, network, and token levels.
Trust Wallet and Mesh are reshaping crypto wallets to serve AI agents.
