Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi: An agreement has been reached with the United States to postpone negotiations on enriched uranium materials.

PANews reported on May 15 that Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi stated: "The issue of enriched uranium that we are dealing with is quite complex. We have reached an agreement with the United States to postpone negotiations on enriched uranium materials."

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said in New Delhi on Friday that Tehran has "no trust" in the United States and would only consider negotiations with Washington if Washington demonstrates a "serious attitude." Speaking at the BRICS foreign ministers' meeting, he said Iran is trying to maintain the current ceasefire to create space for diplomatic efforts. According to multiple media reports, Araqchi emphasized Iran's long-standing lack of trust in the US, stating that any communication under the current circumstances depends on whether the US demonstrates a "serious and credible stance." He also indicated that Iran still hopes to leave room for further diplomatic contact and de-escalation by maintaining the ceasefire.
