Zerohash obtains electronic money institution license from the Dutch Central Bank.

PANews reported on May 19th that, according to The Block, crypto infrastructure provider Zerohash Europe has obtained an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license from the Dutch Central Bank, becoming the first crypto company to hold both a MiCAR license and a full EMI license. Zerohash obtained its MiCAR license from the Dutch Financial Markets Authority in October 2025. The European Banking Authority previously required companies wishing to support "stablecoin-driven financial flows" to obtain an EMI license to better integrate stablecoins into the traditional financial system.

With these dual licenses, Zerohash can legally process crypto asset services and traditional electronic currency flows within the European Economic Area, working directly with banks, brokers, fintech companies, payment providers, and enterprise platforms. The company has also applied for a National Trust Banking License from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
