Monero GUI version 0.18.5.0 "Fluorine Fermi" is now available, featuring feature optimizations and bug fixes.

PANews reported on May 23 that the privacy coin project Monero released version 0.18.5.0 of its graphical wallet software GUI, "Fluorine Fermi." This version is the officially recommended update and focuses on fixing multiple vulnerabilities. The core optimizations in this update are as follows:

Adjust the P2Pool installation path on Windows to the local application data directory; improve the Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) parsing logic in extreme scenarios; disable the offline transaction creation function under long payment ID mode; add insecure text escaping handling in the QR code scanning process; simultaneously upgrade the P2Pool program to version 4.15, and fix several minor program bugs.

Monero officially states that this version has been released as open source on GitHub, and users can download and upgrade through official channels to obtain the latest security fixes and stability improvements.
