PANews reported on May 23 that, according to the Financial Times, mediators said the United States and Iran are close to reaching an agreement to extend the ceasefire for another 60 days.

According to Saudi media outlet Alhadath, Iran has proposed maintaining its uranium enrichment level below 3.6% for 10 years and has also proposed reducing domestic uranium enrichment by more than 20%. Iran confirmed it will commit to not developing nuclear weapons in the memorandum of understanding and demanded that it retain limited uranium enrichment rights in any agreement.
