PANews reported on June 1st that, according to CCTV News, on May 31st local time, Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi stated in a media interview that negotiations and information exchanges are still ongoing, and no judgment can be made before a clear result is achieved. Araqchi added that everything being said at this time is merely speculation and should not be taken too seriously.
On March 31, Iranian sources cited an informed source regarding reports that Trump had proposed new revisions to the current Iran-US memorandum of understanding. The source stated that text exchanges are ongoing, and Iran will, as is customary, submit its own revisions. Nothing is finalized yet. The source emphasized that for Iran, the key is a text it accepts; revisions proposed by Trump do not necessarily mean Iran will accept them. The source also indicated that Iran is fully prepared for a scenario where no agreement can be reached.
A spokesperson for the Iranian parliament's National Security Committee told local media that Iran has made no commitments to the United States on the nuclear issue.
