Visa and Brale explore institutional settlement networks based on private stablecoins

PANews reported on June 4th that, according to Business Wire, Visa announced a partnership with stablecoin infrastructure platform Brale to test a proof-of-concept for institutional settlement using Brale's USD stablecoin SBC on the Canton Network. This collaboration aims to evaluate how privacy-enhanced blockchain infrastructure can support faster, more programmable settlements while controlling the visibility of sensitive settlement data. Visa has supported settling VisaNet obligations in stablecoins since 2021, and this initiative evaluates SBC as a new settlement option, testing the applicability of its privacy architecture to real-world institutional payment flows on the Canton Network.
