PANews reported on June 8th that, according to The Block, over 200 crypto-related companies and organizations (including Coinbase, Ripple, Kraken, a16z, Circle, Binance US, etc.) jointly wrote to Senate Majority Leaders John Thune and Chuck Schumer, urging them to submit the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act to a full Senate vote. The letter states that the bill would establish a federal regulatory framework for the digital asset market, clarify regulatory responsibilities, provide a viable registration path, and protect software developers, enabling more digital asset activities to take place within a compliant U.S. market. Previously, the bill had passed the Senate Banking Committee with bipartisan support and will next proceed to the full Senate for consideration.
More than 200 institutions, including Coinbase, are urging the US Senate to vote on the "Digital Asset Markets Clarity Act."
