PANews reported on June 12 that, according to Reuters, FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried's appeal to overturn his 25-year prison sentence was rejected. The appeals court upheld the original verdict, finding no legal errors in the trial proceedings or sentencing sufficient to overturn the verdict. Sam Bankman-Fried was previously convicted of misappropriating FTX customer funds and related fraud and sentenced to 25 years in prison in 2024.
