Aztec Foundation: The attacked Aztec Connect system was abandoned three years ago, and the foundation no longer has control over it.

PANews reported on June 15th that the Aztec Foundation stated on the X platform that it was aware of a potential vulnerability attack on Aztec Connect earlier this year. This product is not related to the smart contracts associated with the AZTEC ERC20 token or the current Aztec network. Aztec Connect was deprecated three years ago, and Aztec Labs no longer retains any control over the system and cannot suspend or upgrade it.

Earlier reports yesterday indicated that Aztec Router contracts were suspected of being attacked, with approximately $2.19 million in assets being transferred out .
