The Ethereum ecosystem has accumulated over 1.01 million developers, of whom approximately 232,000 have been active in the past year.

PANews reported on June 16th that Joseph Chalom, CEO of SharpLink, stated in an article on the X platform that the Ethereum ecosystem has accumulated over 1.01 million developers, with approximately 232,000 active in the past 12 months, making it the largest developer group in the crypto ecosystem. He believes that Ethereum's true advantage lies not in speed, but in its status as the default operating system for programmable finance and internet-native capital.

The core issues developers are currently focusing on include protocol scalability, privacy, quantum resistance, and proxy systems. The upcoming Glamsterdam upgrade will introduce ePBS and BALs to improve L1 throughput; synchronous composability allows multiple Rollups to operate like a single chain; regarding quantum resistance, Ethereum has established a dedicated team aiming to complete the migration around 2029. Ethereum has over 900,000 validators, and its modular architecture scales through Rollups rather than fragmentation.
