PayPal China CEO Qiu Han Steps Down, Legal Head Zhang Hong Takes Over

PANews, June 17 – According to China News Service, Qiu Han, who served as PayPal’s CEO for China for nearly six years, has stepped down, and her position has been taken over by Zhang Hong, head of PayPal’s legal affairs in China. PayPal stated that its long-term commitment to the Chinese market remains unchanged, and this adjustment will not affect the company’s strategic direction or daily operations. Public information shows that in August 2020, PayPal announced the appointment of Qiu Han as Senior Vice President and CEO for China. Qiu Han previously worked at multinational companies such as General Electric, Temasek, McKinsey, and Standard Chartered Bank. Before joining PayPal, she served as Co-General Manager and Chief Innovation Officer of OneConnect, a fintech company under Ping An Group.
