PANews, June 19 – According to Fortune, Miami-based fintech company Karta announced the completion of a $15 million Series A funding round led by Galaxy Ventures, with participation from Illuminate, Canary, Clocktower Ventures, and others, along with a $125 million credit facility provided by CIM. Karta issues U.S. credit cards with limits of up to $200,000 to non-U.S. residents who hold assets in the United States through partner banks, without requiring a Social Security number or ITIN, and applications can be approved within minutes. Users can start with a virtual card, with a physical Visa card mailed later, while account alerts, disputes, and concierge services are primarily handled via 24/7 WhatsApp. Karta currently partners with approximately 85 private banks and wealth management institutions to fill the high-end dollar card gap left after American Express scaled back its International Dollar Card business.
