Some users have noticed a small eye-shaped icon appearing in the upper left corner of the WeChat main interface; this icon serves as the entry point for the beta version of the AI assistant "Xiaowei." According to Tencent customer service, WeChat Xiaowei is a native AI assistant being tested internally by the WeChat team on a small scale. Xiaowei supports operating WeChat's native functions and launching mini-programs through text or voice conversations, such as helping friends send messages, checking Moments, booking services, and more.
