The flagship model, Fugu Ultra, can dynamically orchestrate multiple large language models to handle complex multi-step tasks, achieving performance close to frontier models in coding, scientific research, and reasoning benchmarks. Sakana AI stated that the system is designed to reduce reliance on a single AI vendor, enhancing performance and AI sovereignty through model orchestration, and is suitable for high-complexity scenarios such as research, code review, cybersecurity, and patent analysis.
