South Korea's Financial Services Commission to implement seven principles for financial AI on June 22
South Korea's Financial Services Commission released a revised "AI Guidelines for the Financial Sector" on the 18th, which will be implemented for the entire financial industry and FinTech companies starting June 22. The new guidelines apply to financial companies introducing AI and FinTech firms impacting financial transactions, establishing seven principles: governance, legality, subsidiarity, trustworthiness, financial stability, fiduciary duty, and security.
The South Korean government plans to ease network separation security regulations applicable to some financial institutions, improve the personal credit information consent system, data anonymization processing and integration-related rules, and study responsibility and authority rules for AI Agents as well as AI-specific regulatory frameworks. On June 22, the day the guidelines take effect, the Financial Supervisory Service will simultaneously release an AI risk management framework for the financial sector, and the Korea Financial Security Institute will release AI security guidelines for the financial sector.

Starknet v0.14.3 will launch on mainnet this month, with the testnet launch scheduled for June 9 and the mainnet launch scheduled for June 22. The new version will support dynamic L2 gas base fee adjustments based on STRK, increase block generation speed, reduce target L2 gas consumption per block while keeping the maximum block size unchanged, and deprecate RPC 0.8. As this update includes significant changes, the official team strongly recommends all developers carefully read the pre-release notes to prepare for compatibility and upgrades.

According to official sources, Coinbase's Layer 2 network Base is about to launch the Beryl hard fork upgrade, introducing the B20 native token standard, shortening the single-proof withdrawal finalization period from 7 days to 5 days, and upgrading Reth V2 (reducing disk usage by 50%, increasing throughput by 33%). Beryl will activate on the Sepolia testnet at 2:00 AM (UTC+8) on June 19 and on mainnet at 2:00 AM (UTC+8) on June 26.
B20 is Base's native token standard, an ERC-20 compatible token implemented as a Rust precompile, designed for stablecoin, RWA, and long-tail token issuers, with a built-in compliance toolkit including transfer policies, freeze and seizure, role-based access control, memos, and supply caps. For withdrawals, the final adjudication window for the single-proof dispute resolution process is shortened from 7 days to 5 days. The dual-proof fast track (TEE+ZK) introduced by Azul remains at 1 day.
