US Senate may unveil crypto tax bill as early as this fall

PANews, June 24 – According to Bloomberg Tax, U.S. Senate Republican tax drafter Steve Daines stated that the framework for cryptocurrency tax legislation being advanced in the Senate has largely taken shape and could be unveiled as early as this fall. Daines said the framework has "more similarities than differences" compared with the version previously released by the House Ways and Means Committee, and he hopes a legislative markup session can be held within this year, though he did not disclose specific details.
