PANews, June 26 – Monochrome CEO Jeff Yew posted on X, stating that CommSec, the online securities trading platform owned by Commonwealth Bank of Australia, has imposed a temporary "sell-only" restriction on multiple Australian crypto ETFs that feature physical redemption. IBTC and IETH can still be traded through other brokers. Jeff Yew said he is in communication with CommSec to ensure they fully understand the physical subscription and redemption operational framework and investor protection mechanisms of IBTC and IETH—a feature that remains rare among global crypto ETFs.
