SpaceX in talks with US broadband operators to launch mobile communication services

PANews June 28 news, according to Fortune magazine, SpaceX has begun reaching out to U.S. broadband operators, aiming to forge partnerships in the mobile communications service sector and jointly launch consumer-facing mobile phone communication service plans. It is understood that SpaceX is currently in talks with Charter Communications executives. If a deal is reached, it would provide carriage and offloading support for some of the mobile data traffic generated by SpaceX’s satellite network, and help SpaceX accelerate its transformation into a "direct-to-consumer mobile communications operator."
