PANews reported on October 11 that Fox Business News reporter Charles Gasparino wrote that discussions within the White House about Donald Trump's possible pardon of Changpeng Zhao (CZ) have heated up; some people in Trump's camp believe that the previous "fraud" allegations against CZ are not valid, and Trump is inclined to pardon him.

CZ responded on X that there was no "fraud" accusation and that he only pleaded guilty to a single violation of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
