PANews reported on December 17th that Anchorage Digital announced its acquisition of Hedgey, a token equity structuring management startup. This is its second acquisition this week, following its acquisition of Securitize's wealth management division on Monday. The terms of both transactions were not disclosed. Hedgey's platform manages the token allocation, distribution, and vesting schedules, facilitating token generation events (TGEs) and post-launch tracking. Anchorage CEO Nathan McCauley stated that founders should focus on product, community, and user growth, rather than operational risks. Choosing the right infrastructure is crucial when dealing with the token economy. By integrating Hedgey and its experienced team, Anchorage aims to reduce "friction and errors" in token equity structuring management, expand its role in token lifecycle management, create assets, and build custody and investment services around them.
