Coinbase appoints former UK Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne to lead its advisory board.

PANews reported on December 18th that, according to Reuters, US cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase announced the appointment of former British Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne to lead its internal advisory board, aiming to expand its policy influence outside the United States. Osborne joined Coinbase as an advisor in January 2024 and will be more actively involved in communicating with global policymakers. He will be based in London. In addition, Osborne was recently hired by the US artificial intelligence company OpenAI to oversee its overseas data center expansion, and also serves as Chairman of the British Museum, Partner at Robey Warshaw LLP, and Chairman of Lingotto Asset Management.
