OpenAI pledges to strengthen Sora oversight to prevent AI deepfakes

PANews reported on October 21st that on October 20th local time, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA), representing professionals in the US film, television, and broadcast industries, OpenAI, Bryan Cranston, and several entertainment companies issued a joint statement regarding their constructive collaboration to ensure the protection of voice and image rights in Sora2. The statement stated that OpenAI has strengthened its protections against unauthorized duplication of audio and image. OpenAI has implemented an opt-in policy for the use of personal voice and image in Sora2. All artists, performers, and individuals have the right to decide whether and how their likeness should be simulated. This policy reflects the company's commitment to artist rights, transparency, and the ethical deployment of generative technology, and pledges to promptly respond to any complaints.
