PANews reported on August 14th that Dunamu, the operator of South Korea's largest cryptocurrency platform Upbit, will partner with Vietnam's MB Bank to launch Southeast Asia's first domestic digital asset exchange. The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding at a business forum in Seoul. Under the agreement, Dunamu will become MB Bank's primary strategic partner, sharing its technology and infrastructure and providing consulting on regulatory compliance, investor protection, and talent development.
MB Bank is a joint-stock commercial lender established in 1994 as a subsidiary of the Ministry of National Defense. It is one of the five largest banks in Vietnam, serving 33 million customers and with total assets approaching US$50 billion.
